SCENE 1- Interior of home
Luke is holding a camera and walking towards his sister Kelly's room. He starts talking to the camera. It is an improvised scene:
The main events that happen in the scene:
LUKE Talks about his trip to Bermuda and how he and his school earn their place in a competition.
LUKE enters KELLY'S room and she hides from the camera because she has no makeup on. She yells at LUKE to get out but he laughs and refuses.
Eventually KELLY manages to get LUKE out and slams the door in his face. LUKE laughs and the camera turns off.
SCENE 2 At the airport.
THE CAMERA COMES ON SHOWING HIS FRIENDS AT THE AIRPORT.
LUKE
OK we are here, everyone is really excited, the big day.
Luke zooms in on his sisters friends. Ashley walks in front of the camera. He starts dancing.
luke (CONT'D)
Oh for crying out loud Ashley get out the way.
ASHLEY
What's more exciting than me!
lUKE
Them (Points to the girls) so get out of the way.
He starts break dancing.
As the Camera goes off.
lUKE (CONT'D)
For crying out loud...
ScENE 3 ON THE plane.
ext shot of the bowing 737 taking off. Temp Airways on the side of the aircraft.
INT CINEMATIC SHOT OF THE INSIDE WITH KIDS AND ADULTS ON BOARD. THE CAMERA DOLLIES ALONG. WE PICK OUT A SMALL GROUP OF GIRLS. ONE LOOKS WORRIED.
AIR STEWARD
Is everything OK?

aIR STEWARD
Well I was not going to say that but.
The seat belt sign comes back on and the noise is heard to inform the passengers that there may be turbulence ahead.
aIR STEWARD 2
Ladies and Gentlemen the Captain has turned on the seat belt sign and until further notice please remain in your seats and until the seat belt sign is turned off.
sally
Great I hate turbulence.
Cut to Luke's camera.
kELLY
For God sake Luke get that camera out of her face.
lUKE
You do the voice over.
(Looks at Dan)
dan
Fear! Yes the new film starring Sally.
Dani
Why don't you guys just grow up.
A large amount of turbulence hits the aircraft.
everyone
Wow!

Oh God, Why me?
dANI
It's OK.

That was pretty awesome...
Another large impact the plane takes a nose dive. Screaming and panic.
Chloe
I told you, we're going to die!
Luke looks to his right puts the camera to his eye as the wing of the plane splits in two. He pulls the camera away from his eye. Lots of shots as panic erupts on the aircraft. The plane starts to spilt up some of the teachers are sucked out with the force of the pressure change.
CAMERA pulls back reviling a kids face with utter terror. ext shot of the aircraft coming down to earth. side of the plane hits tall trees the tail fin breaks away from the main FUSELAGE.
cut TO:
int AIRCRAFT.
Luke turns to his sister.
luke
Hold on!
Kelly's seat belt comes undone.
kelly
LUKE! MY SEAT BELT.
LUKE
STAY THERE!
Luke leans over cut to cu on Luke trying to get the seat belt fastened. A body hits him from the side, Kelly screams as she get a glimpse of the face. Blood running down the face.
kELLY
Oh God that's Miss Simmons.
luKE
Was Miss Simmons, Kelly look at me! KELLY LOOK AT ME! EVERYTHING WILL BE OK I PROMISE.
She just nods her head tears running down her face. The seat belt goes in they hold hands.
camera shot from BEHIND luke and kelly holding hands in the aisle of the aircraft. the camera stays in POSITION as they fall away from the shot showing no back to the plane, and the aircraft heading for a forest. cgi shot
cUT TO:
a long wide shot of the forest from ground level, SEEING the plane passing over, then it DISAPPEARS from view.an explosion with a mushroom cloud appearing from the far left of the shot.
sCENE 4-in the woods the devastation
The scene opens with the devastation of the crash. There are several people lying on the floor, objects from the plane are strewn about. We then pan round to see the lead actor coming round and looking in shock, he rubs his head and stands up to brush himself down.
lUKE
Woah! HE STARTS TO PANIC, where....
He starts frantically groveling through the debris.
luKE (CONT'D)
Kelly, Kelly, ahh!!
He starts to get upset, real emotion sets in at the realization that his sister may be hurt. As we pan round we see Ashley emerge from the rubble.
LuKE (CONT'D)
Ashley, Ashley mate, how are you?
ashLEY
I think fine, I'm talking and standing so I must be.
lukE
I am trying to find my sister, a few people are over there I think. Lets head over.
People wander about disoriented, wondering what has happened. Dani appears.
lUKE (CONT'D)
Dani, have you seen Kelly? I can't find her.
Dani
Ahh, my leg.
chloe
What's wrong with your leg?
Another young girl appears
dANI
It's not broken, it just feels like it's on fire.
luKE
Do you think you can walk?
chloE
Take your time.
dANI
I think so.
aSHLEY
Have you seen Luke's sister?
Dani
No, she was in the seat behind me but the crash may have thrown her for miles. It will take a while to walk around, but we can all go different ways.
chlOE
I'm not sure we should split up too much though.
Ashley has been moving the rubble.
asHLEY
Guys, guys!!
LuKE
Kelly!!
ashLEY
Your camcorder Luke.
luKE
Oh I don't care about that...
We switch to camcorder mode as Ashley has turned the camera on and starts filming, it is a bit fuzzy at first, then comes better.
aSHLEY VO FROM BEHIND THE CAMERA
It still works.
He brings the camera up and points the camera at Luke.
Luke
I have to find my sister... HE GETS UPSET.
DANI
Come on let's split up, we'll find her.
chloE
Can I stick with you? I don't want too be separated.
Dani
Of course, don't worry.
A shot from the 7D of them all walking off. They are all calling Kelly.
Close up of Luke as there is a noise of someone moving.
LUKE
Kelly!
AshlEY
Kelly!
A moment with the girls.

This is the kind of thing you here about on the news, not something that actually happens to us.
danI
It's a bit serial. Come on try not to think about it, when I was 10 my sister died in a car accident and that was the first time I had ever experienced anything like that, but you have to stay focused and you get through it.
chloE
Blimey Dani, I have been so lucky.
Back to Ashley filming on the camcorder. We here a moan of someone in pain.
AshLEY VO FROM BEHIND THE CAMERA
Hey, hey Luke!!
luKE
Shh!!
We hear it again.
Luke (CONT'D)
Kelly, KELLY!
The camcorder spins round on a plane seat in a tree.
We return to the 7D shot as it shows the seat in the tree.
We go to a shot of the girls as they have been looking else where, they here Luke shout.
CHLOE
Qick, I think that was Luke.
danI
Oh no, I hope she is ok.
Back with Luke.
lukE
Somebody help, Ashley, help me.
The boys climb the tree to try and get her out.
ashLEY
Mate, we need to be careful, if this seat falls, we could do more damage than good.
lukE
Yeah I know, lets try and get her out without moving the seat.
dAnI
Oh be careful!
Suddenly we here another moan, Dani turns to see another girl, it's Keri, she has also been trapped in her seat.
dANI (CONT'D)
Keri, it's ok, we're ok. We are trying to get you out. Don't worry, we're here.
chloe
Hey, you're going to fine, are you hurt at all.
keri
Not sure, I don't think so apart from a few cuts.
The boys are trying to get Kelly out, as they do suddenly there is a big raw. Everyone stops and Kelly lets out a panicked squeal.
luKE
What was that?
aSHLEY
Oh, err... TRYING TO KEEP EVERYONE CALM. It's probably nothing, just an animal a long way off..err, sound travels in forests.
daNi
Oh I'm scared, come on hurry, we need to get these two out.
Luke try's to climb up but the first branch is to high up.
lUKE
We need to get me higher.
Suddenly there are more people emerging.
FayE
HELLO CAN ANYONE HEAR ME!
ASHLEY
Hey over here.
FAYE
Hello can anyone hear me!
Suddenly from the dense forest appears a few more of there friends.
lUKE
I need your help.
dAN
No worries come on guys lets help.
The guys lift Luke higher up onto the tree. He manages to just grab the first branch. Then he makes his way up to his sister. The chair that Kelly is in makes a sudden drop and the boys think it's going to fall. Dani, Kelly and Keri scream as the moment gets more intense.
dANi
Get her out of there, for god sake!!
ChloE
Hey, let's just all keep calm.
faye
Yeah we won't help the situation by freaking out. I know it's hard but.
chloe
Remember what you said to me back there.
kELLY
Don't let me fall, please. Please. SHE PLEADS WITH ASHLEY AND LUKE.
LUKE
As if, TRYING TO CALM HER, you're my sister, if you go so do I.
asHLEY
Yeah, me too!!
The boys lift her out of the seat and she helps herself up.
KELLY
Guys, I can walk, I don't think I am that hurt, just my head.
Kelly reaches the floor and hobbles away from the tree. They then go to help Keri, who is upside down on the ground.
Keri
I think I can undo my seat belt, if you can lift the seat upright.
The boys move the seat so that she is upright and she crawls out, just as she does we here the raw again
LuKE
Oh great, I don't think that is far away.
The girls scream.
dan
What is it?
Ashley has started the camcorder again.
asHLEY VO FROM BEHIND THE CAMERA
Let's move.
danI
Really fast!!
The camcorder shot continues as they run through the debris, they stop at a few more survivors.
Dan
It looks like the debris has been thrown for miles.
lukE
Did you here that raw?
Milly
Yeah! What was it?
Ashley VO FROM BEHIND THE CAMERA
It was miles away, as I told the others, sound travels.
As he says this, the camcorder shot is on Milly, Ashley suddenly sees a face in the trees. He zooms in on what looks to be an eye. He reacts.
ashLeY VO FROM BEHIND THE CAMERA (CONT'D)
Woah!!
miLLY
What! what is it?
luKE
Did you see that?
DaNi
What was it?
Shot returns to the 7D.
asHLEY
Not sure!! (TENTATIVELY)
The group start to panic and run off. Shots of them running from the 7d to the camcorder. As they run they then run into another group with a start.
lUKE
Blimey Fred!!
fRED
Hey, how are you? Good to see you safe.
ASHLEY
Only just!
dani
Well we were fine, it was Kelly and Keri who were trapped.
kellY
But we're fine now.
Henry
We have lost a lot of people (HE SPEAKS VERY DOWN) We need to find as many survivors as possible. We also need to look for mobile phones that have a signal.
lUKE
Yeah all ours are flat or out of range.
dani
What about the cockpit, if we find that, we could see if the radio is working and call for help.
aSHLEY
Good idea!!
KelLY
I watched a programme about an aircraft crash and they said that the debris had been thrown upto 3 miles away.
KerI
Well if we have to walk that far then we will.
Chloe
I hope we don't find anything horrible.
dani

chloe
Well you know.
MillY
Oh, let's not think about that.
The group walk again and as they do they come into a clearing which is a circle of trees and the sunlight shining through, but there is an eerie feel to it. There are shots of children sitting against trees, not in groups but individuals, just staring. There is an older lad who is holding a younger girl who looks scared.
LukE
More survivors! Come on.
kERI
They look in shock, let's help.
DANI
These guys look really bad.
dan
I think we all are it's just we're a little older.
Fred
Yeah, it's a coping mechanism.
chloE
Why are they not pleased to see us?
miLLY
Yeah, you'd think they would be pleased, they look like they've seen a ghost.

ASHLEY
Hi, hey, guys, how is everyone, is anyone injured?
LuKE
Great to see some other survivors, this is mad.
ASHLEY
We've managed to get these two out of a tree thank goodness.

They're a bit quiet.

A page of impro between the smaller groups of kids now gathered.
As the guys are talking we go to a shot of Kelly who has noticed something is wrong.
kELLY
These kids are really freaking me out.
lUKE
What do you expect, they're in shock.
keri

dani
They seem like they have seen something.
Luke approaches the older lad.
luKE
Hey, mate, you need any help, it's a lot to take in.
A girl who has been sitting down approaches.
Lilly
How did you get away?
DanI
Get away.
chloe
From what?
faye
We just walked away from the wreckage about 10 minutes that way, some of us were trapped but.... SHE IS INTERRUPTED.
Sally
From the monsters.
kelly
Oh, we heard something, have you seen something.
Aside
keri
That would make sense.
Ben buts in.
Ben
I, err.... think we're fine. Just in shock. I can't find a few of our friends, but we shouldn't leave the area.
aSHLEY
Look we have to move on, we've just been talking, we need to find some communication.
luKE
Yeah, look we were going to try and find the cockpit, there may be a radio we can transmit an SOS from.
The young girl who Ben is holding looks at Luke sharply.
Ben panics. Another girl approaches.
Layla
We're staying here.
CHLOE
No way.
dani
This is crazy.
faye
What do we do now?
kelly
Look everyone just stop panicking, we have to move on otherwise we won't stand any chance of finding anyone or anything else.
She gets mad.
layLA
NO ONE IS MOVING FROM HERE!!
beN
You must stay here, she's right, you haven't seen what we've seen.
The rest of the kids who have been sat around starring into space start to gather.
beN (CONT'D)
We've seen something, it's a monster or something, BIG!
ASHLEY
Look there are no monsters, we're not in a fantasy, this is real... monsters don't exist.
CharLOTTE
That's what we thought.
MegaN
Until today.
Lewis
I had only just grown out of thinking there were monsters in the world.
asHLEY
You mean you've only just grown up?
lUKE
Ashley, come on mate, they're scared, they must have seen something.
As he talks, the young girl points to the ground without saying anything. As she does the camera jibs up high so that we see that the clearing is actually a giant footprint of a dinosaur. Everyone steps back to reveal it.
luKE (CONT'D)
What the.....
AshLEY
What is it?
keri
Luke?
lUKE
I don't know.
ASHLEY
I err....
There is a sound of the noise they heard earlier.
keLLY
That's the noise we heard earlier.
kerI
Yeah, oh Luke come on we've got to go.
luKE
Look Ben mate, we gonna have to move, we can't stay here. At least if we move on we stand a chance of finding some others or communication.
The kids who have been sat around all look nervous.
beN
OK guys, they're right, if we are all together then let's stick together.
Faye
You must come with us.
lilly
What....? OK, ok.
FreyA (little girl who Ben was holding)
I'm scared.
Everyone agrees that they will stick together. Some of the ones who have been starring into space join the group as they walk but are still in shock.
ben
Where do you think you will head, we have no idea where we are or what direction to take.
luKE
Well, we'll just head out and find more survivors, if we can get more people in one group, we may be better off.
As they walk off Ashley starts the camcorder again. The camera showing the forest and the group walking off. He points the camera at Luke.
LUKE (CONT'D)
Stop it Ashley!
Ashley turns the camera off and it cuts to 7D.
AsHLEY
Are you sure you know what you are doing?
luKE
Well do you?
ashLEY
Good point... not any more I don't.
SCENE 4a ENTERING THE FOREST
Ashley is holding the camera walking into the forest behind the rest of the group of kids, he turns the camera to his face.
AsHLEY
OK, so we have no idea where we are but we are just walking in the middle of a forest and... Oh hang on... Nice legs Megan!
Ashley points the camera from his face at Megan's legs which are being shown because she is wearing a mini skirt
MEGAN
Shut up.
ASHLEY
Oh yeah, that's Megan by the way...sorry just trying to lighten the mood.
Points camera back at Megan who is walking over logs and following the group
MEGAN
Give me that!
Megan reaches over to grab the camera but Ashley just laughs and runs away, he gets over to Henry
AshLEY
Oh and this here is Henry. Hey Henry!
Henry
This is not the time to making home videos.
AshlEY
Right... sure... anyway, if I run forward we come up to Jordan!
JorDAN

ashLEY

Ashley runs with the camera to Ben and Luke who are walking at the front of the group
ASHLEY (CONT'D)
Are you enjoying the trip so far!?
LukE
Thanks for trying to keep the moral up Ashley.
Kelly interrupts Luke and he points the camera at her
Kelly
Yeah, thanks.
Ashley runs over to Ian who is walking glumly by himself

Ian, how's it going?
Ian
The world is cruel and dark...
aSHLEY
Hey, nice and cheery for the group.
We cut to 7d shot of the front of the group with Luke, Kelly and Keri etc
kellY
Are you sure we are making the right decision?
keri
Yeah, It's not the woods that I'm worried about... It's what we might find in it...
LUKE
Well, no but I was a boy scout, it will give me a chance to brush up on my survival skills.
kERI
How do you mean?
lUKE
You know... Tackling a deer for dinner incase we run out of food.
kERI
Well let's just hope that doesn't happen.
Kelly looks shocked.
KellY
That's vile, I'd rather starve.
dan
I am not sure you would be saying that if you actually were starving.
kelLY
We'll see won't we.
Keri drops behind and meets up with the 2 other kids who are still quiet.
keRI
Hey, how are you?
CASeY
Are we still going in the right direction?
keri
I hope so, Luke seems to know where he's going. (she try's to reassure)
Layla
Well it seems to me that we're going further into the woods, how could this possibly lead to getting help?
KerI
Erm, I don't know, but if everyone is OK we will keep on going.
Casey turns and looks back at everyone walking. She then turns back
Casey
Well, they don't have a choice. We'll keep going.
SCENE 5 Forest- THE KIDS HAVE A REST
Cut to the hand held camera. Ashley is filming the walk again
ASHLEY
OK, so now it is about 2 o clock, and we've been walking since about 12 ish. But we haven't really seen much... We think that we are the only people here at the moment and we are going to have a break shortly.
Lewis
I'm tired!
LUKE
Ok, let's have a quick break, we're all tired.
beN
We can't waste anymore time.
AsHLEY
We are all tired, we should just have a quick break, its been over an hour.
CASEY
And it's only 2 o clock, its not going to get dark anytime soon.
bEN
...Fine...
Luke turns to face everyone. He stops and calls out to them all
LuKE
OK! WE'RE GOING TO HAVE A QUICK SIT-DOWN! JUST KEEP IN THE AREA AND WE'LL CONTINUE WALKING IN A COUPLE OF MINUTES!
The kids start talking amongst themselves and they sit down in little groups. Ashley sits with Ian, Megan, Kelly, Henry, Jordan, Charlotte and films them with the camera
CHARLOTTE
Oh my god, Ashley. Turn that off, it's really starting to annoy me.
ASHLEY
Look , when we get out of all this, we can show people what it was like. (He turns the camera to Aaron) So it's been an hour and a half now, how are you feeling?
aARON
Bored...I mean, we've just gone further into the woods, we should be following the sun or something like that..
cHARLOTTE
Yeah.
aARON
I think it rises in the east and sets in the west. So if we head for the sun right now we will be heading..... North west.
HenRY
Not much use though when we don't know where we are or which direction we need to be heading in.
AshLEY
So let's go to... Megan! How are you feeling Megan?
MEGAN
I can't believe it, I chose the most fantastic shoes to go away in, and now I'm walking through the mud and getting these beautiful new babies ruined! This is the worst school trip ever! I hate the outdoors!
JorDAN
And that's all your worried about.
Henry
Simple things.
MeGAN
Urm, excuse me, you don't even know me that well.
asHLEY
Right, and now Ian? How are you feeling Ian?
IAN
There is only darkness...
ashLEY

jORDAN

ASHLEY

Ashley puts away the camera and turns it off. He turns back to the group
aSHLEY (CONT'D)
Hey, Megan, can you send me that song you were playing yesterday to my phone?
mEGAN
I can't! I have like no reception here! If I did I would have told someone wouldn't I.
The 7d goes to another group who are starting to talk.

Oh we need to talk about something different.
Dan
I miss home, this reminds me of home, I'll tell you a story. LONG AGO... IN A PLACE FAR AWAY... A BOY WAS BORN. THAT BOY SPENT THE FIRST SEVEN YEARS OF HIS LIFE IN France AND LEARNT SEVERAL THINGS! LIKE HOW GREAT THE FOOD was, HOW PRETTY THE GIRLS ARE!

Dan
Well there was one girl... Tanya... Her green eyes concealed behind her nerd-like glasses only made her more interesting. Her braces were like the gateway to heaven, her dozens of freckles were like a million small clans of Romans that had crawled up her face and built little forts... Then set a fire and burnt small orange holes in her face!
The boys look at each other as if the girl they are imagining is really ugly. Steven, a young kid walks up to the group
steven
Excuse me?
jORDAN
What do you want?
STEVEN
I need your help. I need the toilet.
The group laugh
kELLY
Wait wait! Come on lads one of you will have to go with him.
sTEVEN
Yes
Luke comes over as he has heard the chat.
Luke
Sounds like you lot are getting on and talking now.
kellY
Steven needs to go toilet.
LUKE
No worries, head in that direction and just go behind the tree.
kelLY
Will he be ok on his own?
LUKE
He won't be far away.
Scene 6- forest resting
KERI
Hey Maddy has been ages, we should go check.
lukE
Yeah, can you and Kelly go.
The girls go off to find her, and as the camera follows them into the woods off the track, the camera goes to the floor as they see blood.
KerI
Oh, no, Kelly look.
KellY
What...?
KerI
Hey look it's Maddy.
kellY
Maddy, come on.
As the camera gets closer to Maddy we see that she is holding her arm and it is bleeding.
Keri
Maddy, what's happened, Kelly, quick. Let's get her back to the group.
As she says this they turn and see a massive T Rex.
KELLY
(whispering) Move slowly.
As the girls start to run back to the group, who have heard the screams and have all stood to attention. When they see the girls, they realize that the T Rex is chasing them.
LukE
It's coming, quick.
Everyone starts running and they separate off into small groups. Some are climbing trees and as they do the T Rex bites the branch off the tree.
They manage to join the rest of the group who have ran into a cave.
LuKE (CONT'D)
What(out of breath)...I didn't think they still existed.
aSHLEY
They don't, well, obviously they do but... this is incredible.
It starts to rain and the dinosaur seems to have retreated.
ben
I think we should just stay here for now, it seems quite safe.
lukE
Yeah, you're right.
KellY
What about Maddie's arm, we need to do something.
AsHLEY
Well, my mum always told me to keep a bandage in my back pocket. The geek in me actually thought it might be needed.
Keri
Ashley, that's great, your not a geek, and if you are then here's to geeks.
She takes the bandage off him and goes to Maddy, Ashley is a bit flushed as he is embarrassed.
lUKE
Nice one mate.
As everyone is told they are to settle in for a while, we go to individual groups again.
Chloe is sat on her own. She looks sad.
Dan
Hey, you're quiet.
Chloe
Yeah, huh, just thinking.
daN
About?
CHLOE
Home.
dan
Yeah.
There is a little bit of a silence between them. Dan breaks the silence with a chirpy start.
Dan (CONT'D)
So! What do YOU like doing when your not running from dinosaurs, and trying to survive in the woods.
Chloe smiles at him in an affectionate way.
We go to Charlotte and Ben.
Ben
Freya is really scared.
CHARLOTTE
She's the youngest I think.
Ben
Yeah, I took her under my wing a bit when the crash first happened, she didn't speak for about half an hour.
chARLOTTE
Yeah, she should be at home playing with her toys not here trying to survive in the middle of no where.
Lewis and Casey are chatting.
Lewis
Do you think anyone has noticed we're missing yet?
Casey looks at her watch.
caSEY
Well, by now we should have landed. So I am guessing that someone would know.
LeWIS
My Mum will have checked the flight details online and be frantic.
caseY
Oh god, don't......
lEWIS
I did see a plane go over us about an hour ago, but it was so far away they would never have known.
ScENE 7- in the cave
Everyone is resting/sleeping as much as they can, one child comes back from the dark of the cave.
Fred
HEY, I've just been down there and there seems to be another route out of here. Maybe if we head further down we can get away from the monsters.
lUKE
What do you think Ben? (he calls over to Ben)
Ben
Anything is worth a try.
The group all get up and start walking towards the darkness.
FrEYA
I don't like this.
As they walk into the spooky darkness they here noises and there are a few jumps.
AsHLEY
What's that?
lukE
Anything is possible now.
keLLY
Great!
KerI
What should we do?
Ben
We need to get out of here, this could be where they live.
Everyone starts to run back out the cave from the other side and they don't actually see what the monster was.
FrED
What was it?
cHloe
I have no idea.
casey
What ever it was it does not want us here.
FREYA
Hey, look.
As they emerge from the cave they see part of the wreckage from the plane.
lUKE
Oh at last.
aSHLEY
Just, go with caution.
Ben

They approach and everyone goes round looking.

Hey, Ben, Ashley, come help me move this, someone's here.
AshLEY
It looks like the pilot.
They move him out of the wreckage to the side.
LukE
Are you ok ?
AshLEY
Do you have any pain?
FrEYA
Hey, if he's the pilot why is he not in the cockpit, this is not the cockpit.
Pilot
I was pushed out the plane, I crawled a few feet, but could not go any further.
Freya looks as though she does not believe him.
LUKE
There are quite a few of us survived, we've been running from a dinosaur. It's roaming around.
ben
There's also some other monsters in the cave.
PILOT
What's your plan?
luKE
We were just trying to find more survivors, we have no idea where we are or what direction to go in.
piLOT
Well the best thing to do is to find the cockpit.
AshLEY
Yeah, of course!
Dani
I said that earlier.
pILOT
There may be some sort of coms we can use to make contact with someone.
LUKE
Nice idea, the only thing is we have no idea where on earth it could be.
piLOT
Well we'll just have to look.
keLLY
Yeah, we've got, well forever at the moment to find it.
keri
Yeah, thanks for reminding us.
ASHLEY
It'll be alright. (there is another moment with Keri and Ashley)
lukE
Ok so lets not waist time talking about it come on.
aSHLEY
Hey, are you ok to walk?
piloT
Look I'm a survivor aren't I.
The kids all set off with the Pilot.
FREYA
Ben, Ben.
BEN
Hang on Freya.
fREYA
Ben!
BeN
Just!!! Sorry what!!
frEYA
I don't like the pilot.
ben
Oh come on, I think he will helps us.
Freya looks uncertain.
ScENE 8-forest
The kids are walking again.
aSHLEY
So we've seen some pretty scary stuff in the woods.
LUKE
Yeah, there's a T rex and some other small monsters.
PilOT
Monsters aye!! (dis believing)
asHLEY
Yeah, that's what I said, but then I was proved wrong.
kerI
They were pretty ferocious, we couldn't make out what they were.
pILOT
Well there might be wild animals but I have never seen dinosaurs here before.
Freya hears this and reacts.
freYA
What do you mean? We've never been here before. Have you?
Ben
Freya, come on, enough.
The kids walk on and this could be some added script opportunity here if you need it.
Martin Film some shots of Freya character looking for someone in the group before she says her dialogue.
FreyA
Hey, Kelly, I haven't seen Kyle for ages, did he go loo?
KellY
Urm, not sure, hey guys anyone seen Kyle?
pILOT
(quick to jump in) He must be at the back somewhere. He'll be here, carry on.
kellY
Urm, well, we better just check.
piLOT
(aggressively) Look, we've not got time to be waiting for anyone!!
Everyone feels uneasy. We cut to a close up of Kelly and Keri.
Keri (aside)
What's with him, that's a bit weird.
FrEYA
I've been trying to say that from the beginning. Ben wouldn't listen.
kelly
Yeah, I have felt that since we met him too.
kelLY (CONT'D)
Hey Luke, I am going to look for him.
lukE
Look, he's right we can't keep stopping for people who decide to wander off.
Kelly looks at Luke in shock and annoyed at him.
kellY
I can't believe you. He might be in trouble, look what happened last time someone went off, she nearly got her arm bitten off.
keri
I'm with you, we'll look.
asHLEY
Err, Me too.
lUKE
Ok, sorry, you're right, we'll have look.
Everyone starts looking around near where they have been. Kelly stops and turns to the pilot.
KellY
Well you went off for a while, was he with you?
PILOT
Maybe one of these so called monsters has got him.
Keri
That's not even funny.
PilOT
I'm going to look over here, you guys carry on.
Luke
Come on guys, lets look through here.
As they do they come into a clearing. The Pilot has gone looking elsewhere. They see a bunker, that is very camouflaged.
ASHLEY
Guys look.
LukE
What!!
FreYA
Oh no, it looks spooky.
kelly
What is it?
AsHLEY
(he shows his geeky side again))
It's actually a world war 2 bunker, a classic. Looks like it's still in use.
ChlOE
Hey guys, everyone, come over here, Ashley's found a hut.
Everyone gathers.
Ashley goes in.
luKE
Be careful mate.
Keri
Yeah, you don't know what's in there.
Ashley goes in and then rushes back to the door. Everyone jumps.
AshLEY
Guys, come and see, this is amazing.
scene 8a the bunker
As they go in Ashley starts up the camcorder again. The camera moves round the bunker showing loads of equipment and coms units etc.
Camcorder on Luke.
lUKE
This could be our way home.

Who's is all this stuff.
dani
Looks like an abandoned bunker.
chLOE
It doesn't look abandoned.
Ben
Yeah, this looks like it's still in use.
ASHLEY
It's probably a test area where they only monitor it every month.
Some added script could be here for extra people who are looking around the bunker.
Keri
What is all this stuff, and why is it all here?
kerry
Yeah it doesn't look like it has been left, it looks like someone lives here.
Freya
Look at these pictures.
No one listens to Freya.
Freya (CONT'D)
Hey look, it's....
Camcorder shots still as people are looking. Luke distracts from Freya.
lukE
Hey, look at this fax.
Keri grabs it and reads.
keri
TOP SECRET CODE 16, THE BOEING 737 HAS BEEN DECLARED LOST. WE HAVE MANAGED TO CONVINCE THE MEDIA AND POLICE THAT ALL PASSENGERS ARE DEAD AND THAT IT CRASHED IN THE OCEAN AND ALL SEARCHES HAVE BEEN CALLED OFF. IF YOU FIND SURVIVORS YOU MUST TAKE CARE OF THIS IN WHATEVER WAY POSSIBLE. NO ONE MUST COME OFF THE ISLAND ALIVE.
As she reads there are shots of the group back with 7d and they are all listening, and becoming very scared.
luKE
What are we part of?
ashLEY
Who knows, but were are not safe here.
KELLY
Oh great, all we wanted was a nice school trip and now look.
kerI
We're all going to die.
Freya lets out a big cry and is very scared.
lUKE
Oh, great, it's fine we're going to be ok, these things always turn out for the best. (he does not believe this himself but is trying calm things down)
As the group turn to the door, there is a shot of the door as a shadow appears of the pilot. He comes into the bunker. There is a moment where there is a shot of Luke as he says his line.
lUKE (CONT'D)
Oh thank god your here, look at all this.
frEYA
But.......
As he says his line we go to a close up of Kelly who has seen the picture of a military guy that Freya has seen earlier and been trying to tell them, and she realizes it's the Pilot.
Kelly interrupts Luke mid sentence.
Kelly
You're not a pilot are you?
A shot of the pilot staring at them. As they all look at Kelly to make sense of it.
pILOT
No.
They all panic and start to make a fast exit from the bunker. This is an intense bit and there are various different shots of all the group running and then shots of the pilot running.
As they run they then run into a pack of T rex eating something. They realize they have run into the den.
Shots of the t rex chasing them now an action scene ensues. A bridge with a big drop. They all run across the bridge and then they come to a drop about 6 foot. They stop and then all jump down into a hole. They seem to have lost the pilot and the T rex don't follow as it's too much for them to jump. They hide in an alcove.
sCENE 9- alcove
The group are safe for now in the alcove.
keri
This is ridiculous, we are the victims here, we took an innocent flight and now we are being chased by a mad man and a load of monsters.
As she says this she is hysterical and Freya starts to really scream and cry.
Ben
Come on now, look your not helping and the younger ones do not need to here this.
KELLY
Neither do we.
lukE
Look lets just calm down and have a think about what to do.
ben
Thank you
KELLY
Well, I must be mad for saying this but, we need to get back to that bunker, he had all the coms we need to communicate with the outside world.
ashLEY
It's not mad, it's true, we will at some point need to get back there. Although......
The camera shows a shot of the big drop they just made.
aSHLEY (CONT'D)
I'm not sure how we're going to get back up there.
keri
It's getting dark. We need to sleep, if anyone can.
ben
Some of us will have to stay awake while the others sleep and then swap.
LukE
I'll stay awake, let the younger ones sleep first with the girls.
ASHLEY
Good plan, you never know what might happen.
Freya is terrified.
FREyA
I can't sleep.
KeLLY
It's ok we'll stay together. We can chat about what we might do when we get home. Maybe you'll drift off then.
FreyA
Thanks Kelly.
As they go off to try and get some rest and the boys are on patrol we see various groups settle down.
scENE 9a the forest/alcove
Ashley, Ben and Luke are sat on guard and are chatting.
luKE
I feel kind of responsible for these guys.
ben
Me too, we need to be strong and think of a plan.
Ashley is quiet throughout this dialogue and then he speaks.
aSHLEY
The best way to approach this bunker again is at night.
lUKE
Are you kidding.
ashLEY
Nope, it makes sense. He's bound to be back at the bunker now and he will have retreated for the night to preserve his energy.
ben
That's exactly why it's not clever to go back at night.
ashLEY
Yeah but don't you see. He will be sleeping, he'll think we are, being kids and all that, he's a sitting giant.
lUKE
I see what you mean, it's risky though.
ben
And we've all got to go, not just a few. We need to stick together. Who knows what might happen.
ashLEY
You're right, which is why, when it gets really dark, we'll wake everyone and tell them the plan.
The guys wait in anticipation, but all agree that this is a plan.
scENE 10- forest/alcove
It's the dead of night and we start with Ashley's camcorder. The lads had fallen asleep and left Ashley to keep watch, he wakes them.
ASHLEY
(he whispers) Luke!! Luke come on.
Luke
Damn, I fell asleep.
ASHLEY
I know, don't worry I stayed awake.
AshLEY (CONT'D)
Ben! get up.
Ben
Sorry mate, I needed that.
As the guys wake the camcorder pans round to show everyone asleep. Ashley goes over to the girls.
asHLEY
Kelly, wake up.
As he wakes Kelly the rest of the group start to stir. Ashley addresses everyone and we go to the 7d shot. He speaks in a low voice.
asHLEY (CONT'D)
Guys, you must listen. We have decided that we must go back to the bunker.
Everyone starts to mumble in disapproval.
ASHLEY (CONT'D)
I know, I know. But there is only one way out of here, and that is by communicating with the outside.
luKE
Look, I know it's going to be difficult, but he's right.
keLLY
But he's bound to be there.
kerI
They're right Kelly. And we must all stick together. Come on.
Everyone starts to get up as they realize they have no choice.
scENE 11- forest and bunker
The group are approaching the bunker and they see that the light is on.
KellY
Great! Not what we had in mind.
ben
He's awake.
ashlEY
Not necessarily, a lot of military sleep with the light on. It's an effect of sleeping in unchartered territory.
luKE
What about if I create a diversion so he comes out and then when he is far enough out you run in and make contact.
ben
Yeah, he is after us so he will come out.
Ben and Luke go to knock on the door, there is an intense wait. We here lots of bolt and locks being undone. Suddenly the door files open.
LukE
Err, hi, we are sorry, we don't know why we ran, I mean we don't know who you are and all this just scared us.
They make out they have not seen the fax.
Ben
Yeah, we didn't even see anything.
Luke glares at Ben as if to say shut up.
luke
What he means is that, we know this is your home and that's it. Huh, a man of the military, huh!! What's so weird about that?
There is an awkward silence. Radio coms is heard in the back ground.
lukE (CONT'D)
What's that?
He looks angry and the boys start backing off, the man grabs a shot gun and Luke sees this and they both start to sprint off as he follows. There are various shots of them running and then it goes quiet as he seems to have stopped running, but we know he is skulking around. Lots of unsteady shots of the woods.
Back at the bunker the girls are frantically trying to work out how to make a call.
kellY
Here, look it's actually a phone.
She picks the phone up.
keri
Is there a dial tone?
KELLY
Yes!!
keri
Ring your parents.
The shots go from the girls trying to phone and the boys running.
keLLY
No answer, typical, what are they doing at this time of night?
keri
Ring mine!!
Again a shot of the boys.
FreyA
Oh, quick.
There are some of the group stood out side checking for him coming back.
As the boys run they come across the monsters again and they stop abruptly.
lUKE
Oh no!!
They turn and the man is stood with his shot gun, they are trapped.
piLOT
Stop running!
lukE
Put your gun away.
pilOT
Hey, I know this island better than any of you.
There is a silence.
LukE
We don't want trouble, we're kids we just want to get home.
pilOT
I'm not following the orders on that fax.
They pretend they don't know what he is talking about.
LukE
Fax?
pilOT
Ah come on.
The mood gets easier.
pILOT (CONT'D)
I'm not here to kill you, I'm here for military reasons. Those monsters are part of a genetic war fair experiment. They were made and are being tested to see if they can make life. I am not going to kill children.
As he talks the T rex makes a big raw, but doesn't advance.
pilOT (CONT'D)
Just walk slowly away.
The boys do so but are still unsure of him, as they move they realize that he is a good guy.
scENE 12 bunker
Back at the bunker the girls are still trying to get through to some one. As the door opens they scream.
lukE
It's ok, we're safe.
ben
This guy is fine, he's going to help us. We'll explain everything.
The guy comes in and he goes over to his equipment.
pILOT
Don't bother, I will get you out of here.
THERE NEEDS TO BE SOME DIALOGUE BETWEEN THE GUYS INSIDE THE CABIN. AND SWITCH TO OUTSIDE.
pILOT (CONT'D)
We'll need to go to the landing pad. But it won't be easy. There is only one area and the dinosaurs have made a base there so it's going to need some amo.
kellY
Oh thank goodness.
keri
I am a little confused but, hey, thanks. I'll go tell the group.
She goes out to let the other guys know, again this is an opportunity for added script outside, but in the grand scheme of things isn't necessary for the story.
Back in the bunker the military guy is packing things for the mission.
lukE
How can we help?
aSHLEY
Yeah, what do we need.
pilOT
Well I'll deal with the amo it's too dangerous. But we may need food supplies.
ben
Food! Hey, some of our youngest could do with some food now. Any chance?
The military guy opens a big box full of food.
pILOT
Take what you need, not what you want!
Ben looks in the box and starts to pack a small bag.
pILOT (CONT'D)
Ok let's go now!
Scene 13- forest
The group set off to the landing pad.
lukE
So there is definitely someone coming for us?
PILOT
No, I will be flying you out, I have a helicopter which I am only supposed to use on emergencies.
asHLEY
Will it be big enough for us all?
pILOT
It will have to be.
lukE
We are not leaving anyone.
Suddenly a big raw, bigger than ever. The group stop.
pILOT
Ah, great, I thought he was sedated.
luKE
What do you mean?
pILOT
He is the biggest they've made, so much so that they can't control it.
ashLEY
Oh great, we finally find our way out and then the worst kind of dinosaur comes to meet us.
pILOT
These monsters, they may only have a certain life span, so when they get to a certain age they just die. It was a safety precaution so they knew that if anything got out of control it would end eventually. This one was sedated so we could buy time.
kelLY
And now he is awake.
pILOT
He is, and to make things worse, the military found that just before they die they go on a rampage, killing everything. He's close.
KERI
How can you tell?
pilOT
Every dinosaur is tracked.
A shot of a tracking device.
luKE
So you know where they are at all times?
kellY
He's coming look.
The tracking device shows it really close.
There is a massive action scene where the group run for it and the pilot man is leading the way.
Ashley turns on the camcorder.
lukE
Mate, not sure this is the time.
ashLEY
Are you joking this is the perfect time?
The camcorder shows everyone getting to the helipad. A cgi shot of helicopter here. We then cut back to the camcorder as they are seen in the helicopter. The military guy gets in and starts it just as the dinosaur appears.
frEYA
Oh quick.
lukE
Man he is big.
ashLEY
This is good footage.
kelLY
What are you doing?
Camcorder is zooming in and out really badly.
AshLEY
I can't keep it still.
keri
It's coming.
Just as they lift of the t rex runs at the helicopter and just misses it. Everyone screams.
asHLEY
Incredible!
The helicopter flies off the island to safety.
SCENE 14- added ending if needed
The scene opens at a memorial service and the families of the kids are gathered around. There is a shot of a car pulling up. Then we see all the kids running towards the parents and the parents can't believe it's them. There is a lot of slow mo shots and people crying.
Then a shot of the military guys who see the guy who saved the kids. They start to move away quickly as they don't understand and they have been found out.
