ALIX IS SAT ON A BENCH ALONE AND CHARLIE WALKS OVER TO HER. SHE CONTINUES TO STARE OUT TO SEA. CHARLIE SITS NEXT TO HER ON THE BENCH. CHARLIE My mum used to take me here all the time when I was a kid. Before Justin and Rebecca were spawned. She would tell me that ships that sunk disappeared off the face of the planet. They just simply drop through the earth and out the other end. She told me that's what stars are. Sunk ships... lost in space, shining a light looking for the way home. She was a ship cook. She had long blonde hair... it smelt of coconuts, all the time. She would tell me stories of what it's like at sea. How peaceful it is. Knock on the window and he'll give you your costume, the real weapons and gear. Take that to a secret place like an alley and get changed there other than your mask. I will meet you round the corner from the bank wearing the same clothes as you. From there we pull on the masks and charge the building. Take down any officers inside and I'll get the hostages in a quiet place. Use your dad to open the safe and after he's done bring him to me to sit with the other hostages. JACK Tell your men to put their weapons down or I'll blow your brains out onto the floor. MR. MORRIS You heard the boy... Stand down. HE DROPS HIS PISTOL AND THE SWAT LOWER THEIR WEAPONS. MR. MORRIS (CONT'D) So you're jack? JACK I didn't say you could talk old man. Alix, Get the bag. ALIX WALKS OVER TO THE BAG OF MONEY AND DRAGS IT BEHIND HER. SHE LOOKS AT CHARLIE. ALIX You coming? JACK BEGINS TO SHOOT HIS GUN AT THE OFFICERS AND A CALL HEARD OF "OPEN FIRE!" ALL THE GLASS WINDOWS ON THE BANK EXPLODE OFF THE WALL. CHARLIE LANDS ON HIS FRONT ON THE SOLID FLOOR IN SLOW MOTION. HE IS LOOKING UP AT THE CAMERA. THE SAME SHOT AS SCENE ONE. MUFFLED CRIES ARE HEARD AND GUNS SHOTS. DEBRIS FLIES EVERYWHERE. SIRENS ARE GOING OFF OUTSIDE. CHARLIE TURNS AND SEES HIS DAD LAYING NEXT TO HIM HOLDING OUT HIS HAND FOR CHARLIE TO HOLD. HE LOOKS FRIGHTENED AND IS SHOUTING CHARLIE'S DAD "I LOVE YOU". CHARLIE LOOKS BACK UP AT THE CEILING AND THE GUN SHOTS STOP. CRIES ARE HEARD OUTSIDE THAT IT'S ALL CLEAR. SOME ONE GRABS CHARLIE AND PULLS HIM TO HIS FEET. CHARLIE SMILES THINKING THAT IT IS HIS DAD. HE TURNS AND SMILE BUT SEE SOMEONE ELSE HOLDING HIM. 2 POLICE OFFICERS ARE CARRYING HIM UNDER THEIR ARMS. CHARLIE LOOKS AROUND AS THEY DRAG HIM OUT OF THE BUILDING. AS CHARLIE GOES OUT SIDE HE LOOKS TO HIS LEFT AND HE SEES JACKS BODY LAYING NEXT TO A BAG OF MONEY WITH AN OFFICER CHECKING HIS PULSE. AND SHAKING HIS HEAD. HE ALSO SEES ALIX SAT IN THE BACK OF AN AMBULANCE GETTING TREATED FOR WOUNDS. SHE LOOKS AT HIM AND SMILES. HE THEN LOOKS OVER TO HIS RIGHT AND SEES A CROWD OF PEOPLE STANDING BY. ALL LOOKING SCARED. AT THE FRONT OF THE LINE OF PEOPLE STOOD IS RYAN MARK AMY AND NAOMI. RYAN HAS HIS ARM OVER NAOMI AND MARK HIS OVER AMY. RYAN KISSES NAOMI ON THE HEAD AS SHE CONTINUES TO CUDDLE UP CLOSE TO HIM CRYING. RYAN LOOKS AT CHARLIE. RYAN'S VOICE OVER BEGINS. CLOSE UPS OF CHARLIE'S FACE LOOKING AROUND AT EVERYTHING IN SLOW MOTION. THE OFFICERS WHICH ARE CARRYING HIM PLACE HIM UP AGAINST A POLICE CAR AND ARREST HIM. THEY PUT HIM IN THE CAR AND THE DOOR SHUTS. HE KEEPS LOOKING OVER TO RYAN AND NAOMI. TEARS IN HIS EYES. THE CAR PULLS AWAY. CLOSE UP OFF RYAN. END SHOT OF RYAN NAOMI MARK AND AMY ALL TURNING AWAY AND WALKING INTO SMOKE/DEBRIS. RYAN They say: All life is an experiment... The more experiments you make the better...
